Kevin Dedmon in Christchurch

1 & two March 2011
Halswell Baptist, 6 Balcairn St, Halswell, Christchurch

This conference focuses on equipping, empowering, and activating the Church in signs and wonders, miracles, healing, prophetic, and supernatural evangelism, so that releasing and expanding God’s Kingdom becomes a natural lifestyle.
I would like to add on a personal note that as people from Christchurch this is probably what we all need in these times so that in all the current chaos His love may shine.

Kevin Dedmon has been in pastoral ministry for over 25 years and has a B.A. in Biblical Studies and a M.A. degree in Church Leadership from Vanguard University. Kevin conducts Supernatural Lifestyle Conferences in which people are equipped, empowered, and activated in miracles, healing, prophetic, and evangelism as a normal lifestyle of the believer. Kevin also oversees the Firestarter Class, which equips and empowers newcomers and new believers to live as revivalists – healing the sick, prophesying, and supernatural evangelism. He is also the director of Bethel Church’s Firestorm ministry, which sends teams to local churches for the purpose of demonstrating the revival culture of Bethel Church, as well as imparting, empowering, and activating the church to live naturally in the supernatural, so that the atmosphere in both the church and the community is transformed. Kevin also speaks at conferences and churches world wide, focusing on healing and supernatural evangelism. He also teaches revival theology in the School of Supernatural Ministry, and trains new believers and new members in a revival supernatural lifestyle in his Firestarter’s class at Bethel Church. Kevin is the author of The Ultimate Treasure Hunt, and Unlocking Heaven: Keys to Living Naturally Supernatural.

Hosted by Harmony Church, Oaklands School Auditorium, Cunningham Place, Halswell. For more information or conference registration brochure call on 03 338 4253 or email or website

I hope to all see you there if not for the conference perhaps because it is a good way to catch up with others from our community to prepare us for the road ahead.

Chad and Julia Dedmon back in Christchurch

Last year I went to this seminar and meeting: it was at this seminar that my ears were opened again after 25 years of damaging them with playing too loud, on and off stage. The seminar has been wonderful and I learned so much and saw all these things happen that my mind could not understand. I can recommend it to anyone and all of you out there in Christchurch: YOU CAN BECAUSE HE’S BACK later this month at Harmony.

10am this Sunday 14 November

@ Harmony Church, Oaklands School Auditorium, Halswell

Mark was radically saved from the surf/drug culture in 1981.

For many years he was active in the church in evangelism and worship and also church planting in the UK

In 1994 he came into a revelation of the Love of the Father.

This life changing experience defined the direction of his life and he began ministering from this revelation soon after.

Mark spent several years serving in a healing ministry, before entering full time ministry as a Pastor in a multicultural Church in Auckland

He has been a Conference speaker both in NZ and overseas.

In 2008 he felt lead to join Fatherheart Ministries (lead by James & Denise Jordan) and moved with his family to Taupo NZ to focus on what he sees as his life calling.

Mark has been married to Nikki for more than 25 years and together they have 2 wonderful children Michael and Caitlin.

He still loves to surf!

If the service is anything like what I have heard tonight I definitely recommend people to come and hear this very inspiring story. What I had the pleasure and honor to hear tonight was absolutely well worth it, I suggest you come and find out what I mean on Sunday. It was certainly a story I can relate to.

Quote of the Day: CS Lewis on Church Music

As an active participant in the music ministry at Harmony Church, it makes sense to every now and then consider what you are actually doing. This urge became all the more prevalent when I came across some guidelines for music in church of one of the local churches. Here in Christchurch. At the same time I saw it as a good opportunity to actually dig a bit deeper in the subject matter of music and Christianity and some of my findings and thoughts will be posted here in other posts to come.

In the past days, fed by several disturbing documents on what is and what is not to be considered “good” Christian music; whom are we to judge in any event, (I found this quote from C.S. Lewis. The intention and not what some make out to be the Biblical Guidelines (see f.i. the Dial the Truth Ministries).

This quote by C.S. Lewis however said more than all the long tracts together.

source photo:

It seems to me that we must define rather carefully the way, or ways, in which music can glorify God. There is … a sense in which all natural agents, even inanimate ones, glorify God continually by revealing the powers He has given them. And in that sense we, as natural agents, do the same. On that level our wicked actions, in so far as they exhibit our skill and strength, may be said to glorify Good, as well as our good actions. An excellently performed piece of music, as natural operation which reveals in a very high degree the peculiar powers given to man, will thus always glorify God whatever the intention of the performers may be. But that is a kind of glorifying which we share with the ‘dragons and great deeps’, with the ‘frost and snows’. What is looked for in us, as men, is another kind of glorifying, which depends on intention. How easy or how hard it may be for a whole choir to preserve that intention through all the discussions and decisions, all the corrections and the disappointments, all the temptations to pride, rivalry and ambition, which precede the performance of a great work, I (naturally) do not know. But it is on the intention that all depends. When it succeeds, I think the performers are the most enviable of men; privileged while mortals to honor God like angels and, for a few golden moments, to see spirit and flesh, delight and labour, skill and worship, the natural and the supernatural, all fused into that unity they would have had before the Fall.

If this is a subject that interests you, or the Contemporary Christian Music “Debate” than come back for more posts on the very subject matter.

In the meantime I will do what I always did, knowing that my intentions as well as all those of all the other musos at Harmony are good. Looking forward to see you there Sunday 10 am.

Invitation: Clive Carr Speaking at Harmony Church

See You Tomorrow

Clive is pastor of New Heart Church & director of Ellel Int. Ministries in Ballyclare, Northern Ireland, UK.  He has been speaking at Greenlane Christian Centre in Auckland the last few weeks and we have heard fantastic reports!

He ministers with a unique pastoral and powerful prophetic gift. Not to be missed….

About Clive Carr

Clive Carr originates from Dublin, Ireland. His church background is made up of Anglican, Presbyterian, Brethren, Charismatic House Groups and Pentecostal. In 1975 he got converted and in 1977 was dramatically filled with the power of the Holy Spirit and received a call from God to serve Him in ministry. In 1979 he served with with Operation Mobilisation, in 1982 attended Bible College in England, and in 1985 he was ordained as a minister in the Elim Churches and was pastoring until 1998 with them. He has had the privilege to travel to over fifty countries and has experience in interdenominational events and cross-cultural ministry. He is an associate teacher of Ellel International Ministries in evangelism, healing and deliverance work.

In 1999 the Lord gave Clive a vision for a ministry that would touch the hearts of men and women with the healing power of God’s love. As an evangelist, Clive believes that the heart of the human problem is the problem of the human heart. Hence New Heart Ministries was founded on Ezekiel 36v26: “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you.” He is now heading up this ministry which has a church base and a ministry to the further body of Christ. He is involved in directing and pastoring New Heart Church and Ministries and also has a travelling ministry to other churches and nations.

As a PASTOR, EVANGELIST, and TEACHER, Clive believes in moving under the anointing of the Holy Spirit and loves to minister in a relaxed informal and spontaneous manner. He shares in an inspirational and exciting way with humour and yet is sensitive to the powerful move of the Holy Spirit. His teaching ministry is accompanied with the prophetic and word of knowledge gifts. He likes to give time for personal ministry, laying on of hands, impartation, etc. Clive ministers with the conviction that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are for today, and that signs and wonders do follow the preaching of the Word.

Vicky is a well known former member of the Spreydon Baptist Church here in Christchurch, now over from Germany where she is part of the Jacob’s Well Ministries. Vicky will be giving two seminars (see poster): father heart seminar and a prophetic seminar. Below Vicky’s story in relation to the Father Heart concept (source

Journey into the Fatherheart of God.

Where, how, when and what have I experienced in the Father’s love?

Since the mid 80’s I have had an interest in the Father heart of God. As I was on the Pastoral team of my church in New Zealand, I introduced many of the “Father” songs out of the Vineyard movement USA. At that time I understood it in my head but the revelation was not yet in my heart of the significance of this love relationship with the Father. The revelation came as a process of discovery, a journey into the Father’s heart.

Naturally when we receive Christ as Saviour, Lord & Master, we are in the Father’s heart. But, we have to realise this truth in our lives. And that comes through revelation and not theory. This process of revelation happened through many visits to the Ichthys Church in Hannover where I have a few friends in the leadership there. I was invited to various “Refreshing days, but the first “Aha” experience was in 2003 by a “Father heart day” for Leaders in the region. I had been visiting the church often since 1997, but this visit was special because my heart was ready to receive the revelation of the Father heart. From then on a hunger grew in me for more of the Father’s love, hence more of Him. When others were being invited from my church to Intensive Weeks in the Father’s presence or to a national “Daughters and Sons” meeting organised through the Ichthys, I found myself longing to be invited and praying “Lord when will I be invited?”. The hunger was intense. And every visit, every step brought more light into my heart and a new softness.

Then in 2006 I was invited to the Daughters & Sons Meeting, which is a 3 day get together from people from all over Germany. I was touched by the Father’s love through others, but also in times alone, by His intense love for me which brought me to tears each time. It wasn’t a Saul of Tarsis expeience, but for me none the less profound. It wasn’t one particular meeting or experience but all of the visits and meetings that came together like a jigsaw puzzle of “Divine Moments” where the Father drew me, touched me and healed my heart. I have served the LORD for many years but much of it was out of duty and not out of delight, Living in the Father’s heart means ministry is becoming more and more a delight and out of the right attitude as a daughter and not an orphan or slave. Doing the Father heart school has enhanced the depth of this relationship and the Biblical foundations as well. Old and New Testament speak so much about our Heavenly Father it is all part of the journey.

What did it do to my heart?

My heart is much softer, this too is a process. And the hunger is still there, if not more so. The surprise has been, on one or two occasions where healing and the breaking down of walls has taken place. Walls that I didnt even realise were there in my heart until the Father’s love broke through.

Is/Are there some key scriptures out of this experience?

John 14:6 I have often used this scripture as an argument that Jesus is the only way to be saved. But suddenly the revelation was there, He is not the goal! The Father is, and He is the way to the Father.

Romans 8:15 The revelation came, I am not a slave but a daughter. A daughter of the King and therefore an hier to all that is His. Not only the joy of being a daughter but the delight in being able to say “Abba”, “Daddy” or what I prefer – “Papa”. I am Papa’s girl, how cool is that! This revelation took striving out of my realtionship with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, it brought a peace and contentment in being a daughter in yet a hunger to go deeper in the realtionship with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This revelation has not only affected my relating to the Father, but also to Jesus and the Holy Spirit. It is not either the Father or the Son or the Holy Spirit, but through the Father the complimenting of each realtionship.
